HB73 is back - TAKE ACTION TODAY!

Proponents of House Bill 73 have recently stirred up support via social media. Now the bill is up for testimony and on the agenda for the Ohio Senate Health Committee this Wednesday (May 8, 2024). Under the premise of allowing off-label prescribing, House Bill 73 forces a pharmacist to dispense a prescription, even controlled substances. While OPA is not opposed to off-label drug use or prescribing, the bill removes professional judgement from dispensing and potentially places patients at risk. OPA was the first to voice opposition while the Bill was in House Committee, but the unintended consequences remained ingrained within the Bill. Voice your opposition.
