OHIO VOLUNTEER MEDICAL RESPONSE CORPS
The Ohio Volunteer Medical Response Corps (OVMRC) is a group of licensed health care professionals, pre-identified and willing to respond to an Ohio disaster or terrorist event. Participants include physician/psychiatrists, physician assistants, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy interns, psychologists, licensed independent social workers, licensed independent clinical counselors, dentists and emergency medical service professionals.The OVMRC is coordinated by the Ohio Department of Health, in conjunction with Ohio Citizen Corps, Ohio state agencies and professional associations.
HOW TO JOIN:
Ohio Citizen Corps engages residents in homeland security and community preparedness through public education, outreach, training and volunteer programs.
