ACTION ALERT!
Medicaid Wants to Cut Pharmacist Reimbursement!
Call Your State Senator and State Representative Now!

Last week the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services heard testimony from nearly 20 pharmacists objecting to the proposed cut in reimbursement from WAS plus 11% down to WAC plus 9%. This cut will cost you approximately $1 per prescription! Chain pharmacies testified how his will increase closures in Ohio, especially high-cost stores in inner-city area and rural stores. Independents testified about the increased costs of operating stores, while Medicaid reimbursement has dropped. A long-term care pharmacy discussed their high costs of service to the patient. WE NEED YOU to now contact your state senator and state representative with information on how this cut will impact YOUR pharmacy, YOUR patients and YOUR community. Please take a few minutes and write them now. If you are unsure who your legislators are, just call your county Board of Elections. You may find contact information for your state senator at www.senate.state.oh.us/senators and for your state representative at www.house.state.oh.us/

OPA is strongly fighting these draconian cuts in your reimbursement.
